How to Size Your Hat

Proper sizing ensures comfort, balance, and the intended silhouette of your hat.

Please follow the instructions below using a fabric (soft) measuring tape for the most accurate measurement.

How to Measure Your Head

  1. Use a fabric measuring tape
A soft, flexible tape is essential. Do not use a rigid ruler or metal tape.
  2. Position the tape correctly
Wrap the tape around your head where the hat will naturally sit— typically about 1 inch above the eyebrows, passing just above the ears, and around the fullest part of the back of your head.
  3. Keep the tape level
Ensure the tape stays level all the way around. It should sit snugly against your head without pulling tight.
  4. Record your measurement
Note the measurement in inches or centimeters. For accuracy, measure twice and use the larger measurement if there is any variation.

Fit Notes

  • If your measurement falls between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort.
  • A properly sized hat should feel secure without pressure points.

Adjusting Fit with Foam Hat Sizers

If your hat feels slightly large, foam hat sizers can be used to achieve a more precise fit.

How to use foam hat sizers:

  • Place the foam strips between the leather sweatband sections, not between the felt and the band
  • Start by positioning them at the back of the hat, then along the sides, depending on where adjustment is needed
  • Add or remove foam gradually until the fit feels balanced and comfortable

Foam sizers allow for subtle adjustments without altering the structure or integrity of the hat.
